US-based account-to-account (A2A) payment provider Dwolla has partnered with Visa to improve the Pay by Bank “experience” for enterprise businesses, by providing a single, streamlined solution to enable them to pay and get paid via their bank accounts.

The collaboration sees the integration of Visa’s new Open Banking solutions with Dwolla’s A2A payment technology, meaning Dwolla clients can instantly verify account ownership and check balances in real time.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Visa on providing innovative solutions in the Open Banking space,” said Dwolla chief executive officer Dave Glaser.

“By combining financial data backed by the power of the Visa network and A2A payments into a single solution, we’re delivering a robust unified payment experience for finance and technology teams at enterprise-sized companies.”

Dwolla’s pre-integration with Visa will accelerate time-to-market for A2A payment solutions and ensure a “smoother” implementation process for businesses, through Dwolla’s single API.

Haley Nusbaum, head of US Visa Open Banking solutions, added: “This integrated solution enables enterprises to gain access to advanced bank verification tools, enhancing the overall efficiency and security of their payment processes.”

The partnership follows the launch of Dwolla’s Open Banking services in February this year.

At the time of launch, Dwolla said the services will transform the A2A payment experience for mid- to enterprise-sized businesses by providing a comprehensive solution that encompasses instant account verification, balance checks, fraud mitigation and A2A transfers through a unified integration.
