Former TrueLayer group product manager Matt Parish has landed a role as senior product manager at Wise Platform, which is Wise’s global payment infrastructure for banks and large enterprises.
In a post on LinkedIn, Parish wrote: “Excited to get going on an exciting new area at Wise – Correspondent Banking, helping banks around the world give their customers the same instant, convenient and transparent payment experience as all our Personal and SME customers receive.”
He left TrueLayer in April 2023, after just over four years at the Open Banking payments network, latterly as group product manager where he was focused on ecommerce in the UK and globally.
Parish departed to start his own business with TrueLayer alumni Jeshua Maxey.
On LinkedIn, Parish said that while it was “a lot of fun trying to start a business” with Maxey, “some things aren’t meant to be”.
In September last year, Wise Platform joined forces with Swift to expand cross-border payment options for financial institutions and their customers.
The collaboration meant that financial institutions would be able to route Swift payment messages directly to Wise Platform through its ‘Correspondent Services’ solution.
In a blog post at the time, Steve Naudé, head of Wise Platform, said: “We’ve been working hard to build a new Correspondent Services solution that will empower banks to innovate seamlessly and without the need for major technical overhaul.”
