Eyal Sivan has left Axway to join Raidiam, creator of data sharing ecosystems, as vice president, Open Banking and Smart Data.
In his new role, effective 29 May, Sivan is responsible for working with stakeholders across the firm to position Raidiam as an ecosystem solution provider in the Open Banking space.
At Axway, where he spent three years, Sivan was head of Open Banking and led the development of the company’s Open Banking practice, as well as its product offering.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining a firm that is widely recognised as one of the key pioneers behind Open Banking globally. Where Raidiam leads, others follow.
“As a seasoned technologist, I’m genuinely excited to be part of the team that is spearheading innovation in this arena. North America is a key emerging market for Open Banking, making it an exciting time to be part of the company I know is best placed to support industry and regulators in achieving their Smart Data aspirations.”
In a LinkedIn post last week, Sivan wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to a place that has nurtured my growth, challenged me, and provided me with countless opportunities.
“The experiences and achievements I have gained during my time with Axway will forever shape my career and leave an indelible mark on my professional trajectory. Moreover, the camaraderie and commitment within the team have made even the most difficult days seem surmountable.”
Sivan will continue with his Mr. Open Banking podcast, which launched in 2020 and now has 30,000 subscribers, with Raidiam to sponsor the podcast as it enters its new season of episodes.
Barry O’Donohoe, co-founder and chief operating officer of Raidiam, said: “We are delighted that Eyal has chosen to join the Raidiam team, as we know that he shares our vision of a future in which consumer data rights unlock endless benefits and commercial value.
“Eyal is incredibly well connected in the Open Banking world and highly respected for his in-depth knowledge of the sector and the opportunities it creates for businesses in all aspects of their operations.”
He added: “We know that he will be a major asset to the company and create an active presence for us in North America, which is at a pivotal moment in its own Open Banking journey.”
Raidiam has made a number of hires recently, including appointing Marie Walker as its resident open futurist in April.
