Open Banking Expo and global Open Banking payments platform Token.io have renewed their partnership for Open Banking Expo UK and Europe for a further two years, to 2025.
This year marked the third consecutive year that Token.io was headline partner of the UK and Europe Expo, which took place at the Business Design Centre in London.
It was also the first year that Open Banking Expo UK and Europe moved to a two-day event, combining its UK and European communities.
Adam Cox, co-founder and director of Open Banking Expo, said: “Token came on board as our headline partner back in 2021, and were one of the first partners to commit to the Expo in the year following the pandemic.
“Since then, the partnership we have in place with Todd Clyde and the team at Token has flourished.”
He added: “Here at Open Banking Expo, we are thrilled to announce that Token has agreed to headline the Expo for the next two years, taking us to the end of 2025.”
Cox made the announcement in his welcome remarks, which kicked off Day One of Open Banking Expo UK and Europe last week (18 October).
“Open Banking Expo provides a platform for collaboration and enables an environment where ecosystem players can shape the future of Open Banking,” said Todd Clyde, chief executive officer of Token.io.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership for another two years and look forward to bringing the community together again for the 2024 and 2025 UK and Europe events.”
In his welcome, Cox talked about “partnerships that make the ecosystem tick” being a central theme of the Expo, which hosted 165 speakers across seven stages.
He was followed on the Main Stage by Clyde, who revealed Token.io’s latest expansion news, as well as set the scene for a Fireside Chat on ‘The Pay by Bank Playbook’.
