“Konsentus’ market-leading technology, combined with their unparalleled subject matter expertise, is why I’m thrilled to have joined their talented team.”

At Mastercard, where he most recently served as SVP Open Banking, Wadsworth played a major role in the acquisitions of Finicity in the US and Aiia in Europe.

Prior to that, he led the Vocalink UK product team, helping to create anti-financial crime solutions, and also worked in payments roles at Barclaycard and JPMorgan.

Mike Woods, chief executive officer of Konsentus, added: “Jim’s strategic mind, combined with his wealth of experience in the Open Banking world, will be invaluable to Konsentus as we advise regulators and central banks across the world in setting up and securing their open ecosystems.

“I’m delighted to be welcoming Jim to the team in this pivotal role at such an exciting time in our expansion into new markets.”

Konsentus recently released the latest version of its ‘World of Open Banking Map’, which showed an increasing number of markets globally are adopting regulatory-driven Open Banking ecosystems.
