William Hill integrates TrueLayer’s Open Banking technology

European Open Banking payments network TrueLayer has partnered with bookmaker William Hill to enable instant pay-ins and payouts for players in the UK.
The partnership follows research by TrueLayer and YouGov, which found that eight in 10 European players consider quick payouts important when choosing a betting provider.
The same research revealed that 55% of i-gaming players in Europe said they were likely to switch to a provider that offers instant providers, while 64% said they would be more likely to trust an operator that offers instant withdrawals and deposits.
The UK gaming operator is now using TrueLayer’s ‘Payments’ product to allow players to select the instant bank transfer option to more quickly pay into their William Hill accounts.
These transactions also allow customers to transfer their winnings directly to their bank account “in seconds”, powered by Open Banking and using instant payment rails, with all payments from TrueLayer authenticated directly with a player’s bank.

William Hill offers sports betting, casino games, bingo and poker.

“Integrating with TrueLayer was seamless – they’re an agile company with a nice, smart team that’s easy to work with,” she added.
TrueLayer recently became the first European Open Banking payment option offered to customers of Stripe.
TrueLayer is now listed on Stripe’s ‘Payment Element’, allowing Stripe merchants in the UK and Europe to display TrueLayer as a payment option.
